14 Most Strategic Ways To Boost Your Online School Experience!

Online school can prove to be quite hefty and often render students in a whole lot of stress. Having done online classes for the past 3 months has been quite an experience. After reflecting upon my encounter with online school, taking in consideration, things I achieved and things I could have done better, I came up with a list of 14 most strategic ways that you can make use of in order to boost your online school experience.

  • Know Your Timetable Well

Attending classes from home can often result in us losing track of our class timetable. Therefore, I suggest, you should have your timetable put up somewhere you can see it loud and clear. Maybe print it out and hang it up or save it on your device where you can easily access it. Doesn’t matter how you do, just make sure it is put out somewhere accessible.

  • Don’t be late for classes

A lot of times, especially for me, I’d often join my classes 2 or 3 minutes late just because I didn’t want to be the first one to join them. However, that is not a very smart action to undertake. The timings are given for a reason and therefore we have every right to honour them.

  • Stay consistent

It’s human nature to start out with something with enthusiasm and then slowly reduce your pace either because we get bored of it or we’re just tired of it. I’m not denying the fact that I didn’t do this. You should remain consistent with whatever you do, which is also something I am currently working on. In fact, staying consistent is the most important of these pointers since once you are consistent everything will fall right into place.

  • Make some time

If you want to truly understand everything going on in online school because I know it can be very hard at times to understand what the teacher is explaining and what is going on in the class therefore I recommend you take some time out in the day to revise whatever is done in the class. If you didnt understand maybe watch some videos on it, read your textbook or resources or even ask a friend for some help. This way when its time for your assessments you won’t have to get stressed and rush over everything. The clamer you are, the better you will do.

  • Eliminate All Kinds Of Distractions

At home, there are a plethora of distractions around us. Try dismissing them, take them out of your sight while you are doing your classes or even revising that way your full attention will be on the class especially if you are having problems understanding what is going on in the class, this is a must.

  • Make As Many Notes As Possible

Notes have served as live savers for my entire school life. No matter the subject or how big or important the test is, notes are a must for me. Making notes helps you to make more sense of all the content. Therefore, you should make notes, they could be handwriteen or even digitally written. You could even add colour to them and highlight important parts in order to make them more appealing. Just make notes!

  • Stay To Date With Your Assignments

In my experience with online school, I got a whole ton of assignments and at times it was quite difficult to submit all of them on time. However, they are assigned for a reason and it is always better to do them on time. Try balancing your time and make a timetable, I had done a blog post about making an efficient, easy to follow timetable, linked here: https://snaginthebag.com/jump-start-your-study-session-with-this/

  • Remain Motivated

As long as you’re motivated you can achieve anything, its a proven fact. Look for things that motivate you. Between classes do something that you like, I would occasionally play music to restore myself. Any kind of act that spurs you, do it between classes, before classes or even after classes.

  • Make Good Use Of Your Resources

Unlimited resources are available online, use these remarkable resources to strengthen your understanding. Your books too, they hold an immense amount of useful information that you should use. If you have the resources then why not use them exclusively?

  • Use Breaks To Refresh Yourself

Breaks serve one purpose and that is to revive you before your next class. Use this time efficiently, go get yourself something to eat, or as mentioned above do something you like, it will put you in a better mindset and you’ll be ready to ace the class!

  • Stay In Touch With Your Friends

Humans are social creatures, so make sure you remain in touch with your friends. Take time to talk to them, they need it as much as you do. This way you won’t feel lonely and it helps you remain happy and motivated during these challenging times.

  • Do Not Stress Out

Finally, take it easy, don’t stress out! I know it easier said than done, but you need to understand that if you manage your time properly, remain motivated and give your best, there will be no need to stress out. If you fail to do so, remember, that you did your best part, and next time you can do better!

These were 14 ways that I put down that I think will prove to be helpful, If you have some more, let me know in the comments below!
