5 Weird But Effective Ways Of Studying

Studying can sometimes be quite a stressful job. Stress may reduce productivity and understanding. Here are 5 weird but effective ways I use to make my study session as productive and efficient as possible.

  • Colours are the smiles of nature

According to several studies, colours play a huge role in influencing our emotions and learning. They impact our brain process and concentration. Surrounding yourself with a specific colour could accelerate your study experience. Have a look at the following colours that could boost your study activity.  

1) GREEN: it creates a calm environment and helps get rid of stress. It helps reassures you and is also known to increase reading and comprehension skills. 

2) BLUE: it signifies intelligence, logic and trust. It gives a psychological boost and is often associated with power, integrity and seriousness. 

3) PURPLE: widely known for the wisdom it provides. It enhances critical-thinking and helps you understand challenges. It also boosts creativity and magnifies imagination. 

  • Music Makes The World Go Around

Music boosts your study experience in several aspects. It activates both sides of your brain, which results in more concentration. It can reduce stress and anxiety while studying. It can even improve your performance. Despite its advantages, it is necessary to know what kind of music helps you, some may find vocal music distracting while the others don’t. It depends from person to person.

  • You Are What You Surround Yourself With

The environment is known to have a massive impact on productivity. All aspects of the environment such as lighting, temperature, comfort, etc influence you. The study material you study in a cosy or happy room will be better understood than the one you study in a room with distractions or lots of people. You need to be in such an environment that allows you to be in one with what you are studying. 

  • Where There Is Productivity, There Is Food

Eating while studying can provide you with more energy and increase focus and understanding. However, it is not advisable to eat anything you want while studying. Here is a list of foods that boost your study experience:

  2. High-protein snacks
  3. Drink lots of water
  4. Yoghurt
  5. Nuts 
  • You Can Observe A Lot Just By Watching

When learning about a certain topic, it is advisable to watch videos about it in order to have a better understanding of the topic. If you are someone who understands and learns things better in a visual form, then you should definitely watch videos.
